Located on 260 N Spring St, Riverside County Blythe Jail is a 121-bed medium-security jail for males and females, welcoming 4626 inmates through their doors each year. Predominately for arrestees awaiting trial, the county jail sits along the Colorado River, having been built in 1964.

Located on 30755 Auld Road, Cois M. Byrd Detention Center is a 71-bed medium-security jail for male arrestees. Seeing 1537 new inmates each year, this Murietta-based facility houses individuals until they post bail, are released, or transferred to one of the county’s long-term centers.

Located on 82675 CA-111 in Indio, John J. Benoit Detention Center is a 1,626-bed facility, having recently undergone a $275million revamp. Inmates will benefit from enhanced air quality, medical clinics, and renewed spaces.

Located on 1627 Hargrave St. in Banning, Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility is a 68-bed medium-security jail for males awaiting trial or sentencing. Seeing 1093 bookings each year, this facility has 70 members of staff and 31 inmates assisting with administrative duties.

Located on 4000 Orange St, Robert Presley Detention Center is a 107-bed facility in the heart of downtown Riverside. With 2884 annual bookings, this jail sees a range of defendants walk through its doors.

COURTS.

A total of thirteen courts call Riverside County ‘home’, including Banning Superior Court, Blythe Superior Court, Hemet Superior Court, Indio Juvenile Court, Indio Superior Court, Moreno Valley Superior Court, Murrieta Superior Court, Riverside Criminal Court, Riverside Juvenile Court, Riverside Superior Court, and Temecula Superior Court.
